Chase has a busy weekend of races ahead of him in Daytona, but we caught up with him before the craziness for a quick Q&A.


AfterShokz: When did you first start racing and did you know immediately that you wanted to race professionally?

Chase: From the time I was a kid, I always had the desire to race, and I'm very fortunate to have had some good opportunities to pursue professionally.

 

AfterShokz: What’s the best piece of advice you have received in the sport?

Chase: Don’t worry about everybody else.


AfterShokz: What’s it like following in your dad’s footsteps?

Chase: It’s just cool to share such a great passion for the same thing.


AfterShokz: What’s your most memorable race?

Chase: Watkins Glen 2018


AfterShokz: Who do you look up to in the sport?

Chase: Jimmie Johnson


AfterShokz: What is the hardest part about the sport?

Chase: Handling all the sponsorship and race obligations and time away from home.


AfterShokz: Do you have any pre-race routines or superstitions?

Chase: I like to have a good lunch before a race, but no superstitions.


AfterShokz: What’s your favorite type of music to listen to pre-race?

Chase: Country


AfterShokz: How has AfterShokz changed how you listen to music?

Chase: It has opened the doors to listening to music while I exercise in a much safer, more comfortable way.


AfterShokz: What are some ways you relax after a big race?

Chase: I love to unwind by watching movies.


AfterShokz: What do you do for fun when you’re not racing?

Chase: Aviation is my biggest hobby.


AfterShokz: What are your 2019 goals?

Chase: Win often.
